Post 2: I could not WAIT to hit the road...

Post 2: Deep breaths, many of them, would be taken along this journey - both related to the build and the travel. I took the advice of many sage vanlifers to do a little at a time and see what I really needed and what would work. Eager to just get out on the road and experience living in my van, I decided to try a "no-build build" and head down to one of my most favorite places, Santa Cruz. 

A cot, a cooler, some water, a camp stove, a small propane heater, a shower curtain from Ikea to block the view from the cab and a bucket filled with diatomaceous earth cat litter (use your imagination) was all that was needed. 

Everything, including the floor, was covered with black plastic liner. It would have made a great creeper van......all that was the first to go.
